PLACEMENT OVERVIEW

The Placement Cell at SCMS Cochin School of Business is comprehensively equipped to provide essential assistance to students in securing placements through campus recruitment. Through a spectrum of activities, including mock interviews and practice sessions, the Placement Cell ensures that students are well-prepared and presented with abundant placement opportunities. The placement season typically commences by September each year. The placement process is coordinated by the Placement Committee, which consists of the Head – Placements, the Director (SCMS Cochin), the Faculty Placement Coordinator, the Placement Officer, and the Student Coordinators (4 from the Senior batch & 2 from the Junior batch). The entire process is overseen by a Group Director. The Placement cell assists the students in being placement-ready and in bringing corporate recruiters to the campus. The faculty mentors give individual training and counseling to ensure that the students are equipped with the skills required for attending the placement process.

The Placement Cell collaborates with recruiters in arranging placement opportunities for all the eligible students every year. There has been a consistent number of companies visiting the campus for placements over the years. Students have been given opportunities, which have resulted in them getting recruited into good positions in different domains. Every year, students are placed with reputed companies in different sectors like Finance, IT, FMCG, Banking, Insurance, Travel, etc. The institution has a wide network of alumni occupying coveted positions in various esteemed organizations in India and abroad. They are employed across domains and key sectors of the industry.

The institution’s alumni are present in senior positions in organizations such as Thomas Cook, Levi Strauss, JP Morgan, Bennett Coleman, FCB, McCann, Mindtek, Deloitte, KPMG, Aditya Birla, Landmark Group, TCS, ITC, CMA CGM, Morgan Stanley & Co., and DSP Merrill Lynch Limited, etc., with salary packages matching international standards. Over the years, there has been an increase in the level of jobs and the salary packages offered to students.
