Applications are invited for the 34th batch (2025-27) of two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with an annual intake of 120 students.

  • Two-year full-time PGDM (General Management )
  • Four-years (full-time / part-time) FPM(Fellow Programme in Management )

Curriculum Design based on the KSA Model

 

In keeping with SCMS’s endeavour to continually upgrade the programme to be in sync with environmental changes and the needs of industry, the PGDM Programme has been restructured in 2023 considering the needs of modern outcome based education architectured to enable students acquire 21st century skills and face the VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) world.

Keeping in mind the outcome needs of providing students with a solid foundation in business fundamentals, opportunities for specialization, and being job-ready, the program has been designed on the bedrock of the KSA model of Knowledge, Skills and Attitude.

 

Electives Offered

The PGDM programme provides flexible options in choosing electives. A student can opt for 8 electives from a domain (Major electives) and 4 electives from another domain (Minor electives). Alternatively, a student can opt for any 12 electives across domains and not pursue a Major or Minor elective.

Elective courses in various domains are being designed to develop skills in:

Marketing: Product Development, Branding, Customer Acquisition and Retention, Pricing and Promotion, Marketing Analytics.

Finance: Financial Analysis, Valuation, Risk Management, Investment Strategies, Corporate Finance, Financial Analytics.

Operations Management: Managing the Production Process, Supply Chain Management, Quality Control, Project Management,

Operations Analytics.

Human Resources: Managing People and Teams, Organizational Culture, Communication, Motivation, HR Analytics.

International Business: Managing Business Operations in A Global Context, Cross – Cultural Communication, Navigating International Trade Regulations.

Business Analytics: Data Analysis, Statistical Modelling and Decision-Making, Functional Analytics.

Two Degrees in Three Years

Northern Kentucky University, USA

Students who complete the PGDM Programme at SCMS Cochin School of Business are eligible to seek admission to the 2nd year of MBA Programme at Northern Kentucky University, Kentucky, USA. Students who complete PGDM from SCMS will be eligible to pursue the MBA course at a subsidized fee of $10,500 for the AACSB Accredited MBA programme of Haile College of Business , Northern Kentucky University , USA [https://www.nku.edu/academics/cob.html] . The PGDM students enrolled for this program are expected to travel to the US in the 3rd year and complete the remaining 19 credits of the MBA.  Recently, The Wall Street Journal published an article highlighting Northern Kentucky University as one of the top 10% universities in the USA (#40) for providing exceptional value and guiding graduates toward lucrative careers. Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduation (any discipline) – Minimum Requirement – Pass Marks with 50% in aggregate from a recognised university. Final year students are eligible to apply if they expect to score the requisite marks.
  • Valid score in any of the following Entrance Tests::
  • Valid GD / Personal Interview Score

Fee Structure

The full-time PGDM programme comprises of 6 trimesters and the Tuition Fee per trimester is Rs 1,32,500. Hostel Fee (annual payment) and Mess Fee (monthly payment) together would cost around Rs 8000 per month.

Scholarships

Candidates applying for the PGDM full-time programme with more than two years of work experience in reputed companies are eligible to apply for merit scholarship of upto a maximum of 40% of tuition fees.

How to Apply?

Qualified students will be invited to attend a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Final selection will be based on academic scores and performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The original documents will be verified on the date of Group Discussion and Personal Interview

Merit is the only criterion for securing admission to the PGDM programme

Scholarships

The following Scholarship Schemes are available for candidates applying to the PGDM full-time programme (2025-27)

Merit Based Scholarships

  • Candidates with above 90 percentile in MAT or above 80 percentile in CAT or above 90% aggregate score in graduation are eligible to apply for a scholarship worth Rs. 1,00,000
  • Candidates with 80 to 90 percentile in MAT or 70 to 80 percentile in CAT or 80% to 90 % aggregate score in Graduation are eligible to apply for a scholarship worth Rs. 50,000

Work Experience Based Scholarships

  • Candidates with more than two years of relevant work experience in reputed companies are eligible to apply for merit scholarship of up to a maximum of 40% of tuition fees
