SCMS Cochin School of Business, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised an Expert Talk as part of the World Standards Day 2026 Celebrations on 22 October 2026 at 11:15 AM in Room No. 505.The session was led by Prof. [Dr.] Govinda Bhat S, Lead Auditor ISO 9001 and Lean Consultant, who shared his expertise on quality standards, standardisation, and their significance in organisational excellence and continuous improvement. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of quality management systems, internationally recognised standards, and the adoption of standardised practices in business and industry. The session provided valuable insights into how quality standards contribute to operational efficiency, consistency, customer satisfaction, and sustainable organisational performance.The expert talk offered students an opportunity to gain practical perspectives on the application of quality standards in professional settings and understand their relevance to contemporary management practices. The programme reinforced the importance of quality consciousness, process improvement, and adherence to established standards in achieving excellence in organisations.
