In celebration of World Humanitarian Day and World Photography Day on 19th August 2023, a photography competition was organized to highlight moments of empathy, social realities, and human connections. With 110 students participating, the event encouraged participants to capture poignant images that reflected compassion, resilience, and community service. Students submitted their photos along with brief write-ups that conveyed the stories behind their images.
The competition included photography workshops to enhance skills, followed by a judging panel that selected the best works for an exhibition. Despite challenges such as mastering technical skills and interpreting the theme, the event fostered empathy, creativity, and community engagement. It successfully raised awareness about humanitarian issues and inspired participants to reflect on the power of visual storytelling.
