The School prepared me to become more disciplined and ensure professionalism in everything that I do. Being the campus interviewer for the Media Relations Club (MRC) gave me many opportunities in terms of exposure. All of that has been a great memory for me.
My current role is HR Business Partner for the UAE Territory at Homecentre – Landmark Group. I got recruited through SCMS campus recruitment to Aditya Birla Pantaloons as a Management Trainee – Operations. Through an IJP, I moved into HR, handling stores in Karnataka. Later, I moved to the corporate team as HR – MIS, handling HR operations and end-to-end transactions of 1600 employees. I was there in the company for 2 years.
I took a career gap of 1 year after marriage and came to UAE. I started working at Zomato as an Account Manager, managing restaurant partner acquisition and development. Later, after delivery, I moved to the compliance team, handling restaurant onboardings and compliance management. After 3 years in the company, Zomato delivery shut down in UAE, after which I got recruited as the HR Business Partner at Homecentre Landmark for the UAE Territory, handling 2100 employees.
Landmark has been known for the career progression it provides its employees. Retail is one of the most challenging and dynamic industries, and the opportunities to grow are immense. So, I foresee a growth path laid out, which can be achieved with hard work and consistent efforts.
