The Finance Forum, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), hosted its first guest talk on 12th September 2025 in the Seminar Hall. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from PGDM students and faculty members, marking the beginning of the forum’s knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The talk was delivered by Dr. Biju A.V., Associate Professor, Department of Commerce, School of Business Management and Legal Studies, University of Kerala, on the theme:
“Carbon Neutrality and Carbon Credit: Indian Knowledge System Guiding Global Climate Finance.”
Dr. Biju provided valuable insights into the concept of carbon credits, their role in achieving carbon neutrality, and the functioning of the carbon trading market. He emphasized how India’s traditional knowledge systems are shaping sustainable approaches to global climate finance.
The session also highlighted corporate sustainability projects, such as Reliance’s Vantara initiative, and India’s ambitious goals to achieve major climate milestones by mid-2026, positioning itself as a global leader in carbon neutrality.
The event offered students a clear understanding of both financial mechanisms and environmental implications, making it an engaging and impactful session for future finance professionals.
