SCMS Cochin School of Business, in partnership with the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy – VAANI initiative, successfully held a three-day faculty development workshop in Malayalam on the topic: “Optimizing Management Research through AI-Driven Decision Sciences Using Zero-Code Approach” from July 16 to 18, 2025. This event was part of the AICTE’s national initiative to promote the use of regional languages in technical and management education, aiming to improve inclusivity and accessibility in research and teaching within these fields.
The event saw active involvement from 63 faculty members and research scholars from various higher education institutions across Kerala. The sessions were held in Malayalam, aligning with the VAANI initiative’s goal of promoting learning in regional languages.
The inaugural session was presided over by Dr. Baiju Radhakrishnan, Group Director, SCMS Group of Educational Institutions. In his keynote address, Dr. Baiju emphasized the need for ethical and responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence in academia, highlighting both its transformative potential and the risks of misuse such as compromised research quality and academic integrity. He encouraged the participants to use AI tools strategically to improve research outcomes and teaching effectiveness. Dr. M. Nagaraj Shenoy (Director, SCMS Cochin School of Business), Dr. M. Sulaipher, Coordinator of the workshop, and Dr. Maya Joby, Co-Coordinator of the workshop, graced the occasion with their meaningful presence.
The academic team—comprising Dr. Lishin M. Joshy, Dr. Neethu Ismail, Dr. M. Sulaipher, and Dr. Arunfred—along with industry experts including Dr. Pradeep S. (Assistant Vice President, NeST Tech Corp, Cochin), Ms. Anju Sukumaran (Training Assistant, NeST Tech Corp, Cochin), and Mr. Bhadraj R. (Group Product Manager, Dynamic Techno Chemicals, Cochin), led the workshop sessions. Key themes explored during the workshop included AI-driven decision sciences, zero-code tools for research, research paper development, and business model restructuring.
The workshop concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. M. Sulaipher, expressing gratitude to all participants, resource persons, and organizers.
